Oh Lord, Lady Liberty

Description

“Oh Lord, Lady Liberty”  is a powerful mixed-media piece (and my favorite in the series) that captures the chaos, grief and the moral decline of America during Trump’s first term.

The Statue of Liberty, once a symbol of hope and freedom, buries her face in her hands… overwhelmed by the daily atrocities unfolding around her.

Each spike of her crown reflects pivotal moments of political corruption, division and injustice.  Beneath her, spent bullets replace the bed of nails, a harrowing representation of the epidemic of school shootings and the government’s failure to protect its people.

This deeply moving artwork serves as a bold commentary on democracy, violence and a nation in crisis.
