Description
“Victoria” is a study in perspective… literally and emotionally.
The original intent was to paint a woman looking upward, her face tilted to the sky. What emerged instead was something much deeper. Her expression came through raw, distressed and almost overwhelmed… and yet it felt exactly right.
A happy accident that told the truth louder than the original intent ever could.
This portrait captures the moment just before release, or maybe right after. Her eyes are closed, her lips pressed together, and she has a sense of quiet power; echoing both spiritual symbolism and human vulnerability. The loose, expressive brushstrokes invite you to feel, not just observe.
This piece ended up holding the complicated tension between pain and resilience… between surrender and rise. She doesn’t hide what she’s carrying. She simply lifts her face to the sky and lets it move through her.
