Description
“Purple Pimple Bum” is exactly what it says it is… and more. My husband affectionately named this piece.
This playful figurative painting doesn’t apologize for its title, its shape or its sass. It’s a rear-facing figure, cheeked-up and unbothered, in vivid purples and skin tones. There’s a not-so-subtle blemish on one side… and that’s the point. I painted over another existing canvas that had a lot of texture; hence her (quite) literal name.
This painting is about body honesty, confidence with a wink and the celebration of all our weird little flaws.
The background is a soft purple haze that lets the figure pop without feeling overly precious. Bold black lines, painterly gestures and smudgy color give the piece both playfulness and presence.
It’s sexy. It’s silly. It’s human.
Hang it in your bathroom, your bedroom or anywhere that could use a little less shame and a lot more fun.
