“JB’s Playlist” is a commissioned portrait honoring a beloved companion, “JB”, painted from photographs shared by the family.
Lyrics drawn from the songs of his namesake, James Brown, are hand-lettered into the surrounding grass, weaving music and memory into the work.
A quiet study in likeness and loss, created as a gift and completed in the week following JB’s passing.
