“Carolina Tides” is a celebration of the South Carolina coast… its creatures, its textures and its quiet abundance.

This diptych immerses you in an imaginative ocean-scape where waves swell with movement and life. A dolphin arcs between the panels, connecting land and sea, while oysters nestle in the marsh grass and shrimp hide in kelp-tangled folds. Herons, mermaids and beach chairs all find their place here, reminding us that beauty and mystery live side by side.

What makes this piece especially magnetic is its sculptural quality… thick impasto waves, actual netting and glints of metallic shimmer give the surface a tactile energy that shifts with the light.

It’s not just a painting, it’s a whole experience.

This piece was originally commissioned by dear friends who wanted their love of the sea captured in paint. It quickly evolved into something bigger… part fable, part memory, part love letter to the marsh.
